A few months ago, I had mentioned that FSIL told my sister that she wanted to carry her would-be 5 month old down the isle with her since she is a bm. I'm totally not even considering it but wasn't sure if she was even serious about it.
Well, my sister yesterday showed her the dress that the bm's are pretty set on buying since her and her other daughter were the only bm's that didn't come dress shopping with us. She says they're nice then brings up the baby bo-k again to my sister! My sister responds for her to just get that out of her head. FSIL says yeah, Lucy would flip out right. Then she says that she'll just dress her little one up in a lacy/ruffly white dress and decorate her with flowers.... I think she's seriouse about that, too. Tell me honestly; is she conciously trying to take all the attention here? Am I over-reacting?
ETA: Oh, and she hasn't said a word to me about anything wedding related which kinda gets me mad that she has no interest.

I would feel the same way. Some people don't know how to NOT be the center of attention. Funny thing is, most of them don't even realize they are doing it. I would ignore it and just laugh it off. I would think she will eventually let it go. If she doesn't just make sure you firmly hand her the bo-k she is too carry right before she walks down the isle

I've never even heard of this.. I thought at first you were upset the baby was going to be wearing white, but I don't understand why she would hold her baby up at the alter? How about if the baby cried???
I would joke with her about it, be like ohh yeah my sis said you were carrying your baby down the aisle, hahah thats too funny, PS, you better not do it

Exactly!! I guess she just wants to show off her new DIY but I don't think the our wedding is the appropriate plave to do it. When I say she'll dress up the baby, I think she means instead of carrying it. But isn't it a no-no to wear white to a wedding and be decorated in flowers on top of it??

a bit odd- I don't think she is intentionally trying to have her as the center of attention but I would polietly say something just to clear things up

I am dying a Baby Bo-k? Ok I love kids and have no issues with them being in or at my wedding. Infact one of my flower girls may not be walking at the time of the wedding so if my sister (MOH) or BIL (GM) carry her down I don't care -- but to dress her up and make a big deal out of it -- that is too funny and a little bit crazy!

I mean, I'm trying to have an adult reception but i'll let her bring the little ones obviously. Her other three kids are already in the BP and I already have a flower girl. My sister even asked her is she was going to push for her dog to be in it! lol
