not thrilled....

w. my car. I have a mercedes e class - 2002 - and I am not happy w. how the carseat base fits in there. It does not have the same belt system as my hubby's range rover which seems to hold the base much 'tighter' - has anybody experienced this in their cars?

We had the same problem in our Jetta. We bought the Mighty Tight clips and that did the trick.

We read later on that these may not be the best alternative, and that you should contact your dealer to see if they have a mechanism which may help.

I had the same problem with the Passat. But the Mighty Tite and also reading in the Owners Manual about how to manually tighten the belts made a huge difference. Once we did all that, the seat was tight as anything!!

We had bought the mighty tite for our car (2003 Camry). Thankfully, I didn't open it. When we took our seat to be inspected, the 'inspector' was like - 'these things are the worst!!!'. He tightened the base w/ a metal clip (for free!).

It was peace of mind for us. We also had him inspect our Britax (convertible seat) when we installed it in October.
