Anyone else really not get overly excited for dress shopping?
I've gone.... umm.. 3 times with my mom and each time i'm like, 'ugh... ook.......' Even when trying them on i'm kinda like, 'alright' and decide quickly if i like or don't like. (I can try on, no joke, 4 dress in 15 minutes lol).
I've found 2 that i do like (totally different) but the whole experience for me is eh lol. But i also hate shopping period and don't enjoy trying clothes on lol.
I've only gone with just my mom.. maybe it would be different if i brought 1 or 2 friends who will be in my bridal party??

I feel the exact same way. I was so scared the saleswoman helping me would think there was something seriously wrong with me because I was not jumping up and down. Sometimes I stalled the process of telling them yes or no even though I knew the answer before I even walked out of the dressing room lol. I am not very emotional I guess.

lol - i can know instantly when i don't like a dress and sometimes i feel like i need to ooh and ahh anyway for the salesperson...because she is the one that picked it out because 'i will love it!'

Re: Not thrilled about Dress Shopping
im just like that. not overly emotionally. and some dresses before they even zip it im like, nope. take it off. lets not waste time.
so yeah i can go through a few in a short period of time.
i tried on that maggie dress and i liked it - more than any other dress.
still didnt get overly emotional tho. lol. thats just me. its nothing wrong.
but i did move, sit, twirl in it to see if i liked it. and now when i compare it to other dresses, i think i will wind up regretting if i dont buy this one
i think thats one way to tell
just keep looking online too. seriously. you know what type of dress looks good on you...and what you want....and not every store has the biggest and best selection. (i drove to CT based on somethin i saw online! LOL)
i think im going to go to 2 more stores that carry maggies...try on other dresses...and if i still like that dress, order it from teh store i like best.
the best thing about dress shopping -- the sales consultants make me feel so good and compliment me (fake or not, i feel great when i leave. hahahahaha)

Re: Not thrilled about Dress Shopping
I am soo dreading this experience. I also hate shopping and just think it's going to be this time-consuming, stressful task lol. Sorry for seeming so negative, hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised! lol

Re: Not thrilled about Dress Shopping
i was so not thrilled about dress shopping.
it took me forever to find something i liked. the dress i ulimately bought took me about 15 minutes to get used to it and decide that i liked it. then about another 30 to decide that i loved it.
my worst experience was in one salon where i kept telling the lady what i wanted and she kept bringing me exactly what i didnt want. i cant hide my expressions either so you think she wouldve gotten the picture.
just dont overdo it in 1 day.

ita with not overdoing it - by the time you get to the last place or try on the last dress, you're so tired that even if you look and could feel great in it, you don't even want to bother anymore!
