Ok, now for my advice:
1. Think of different looks you can have. I took my favorite blue coat at the last moment and some of my favorite shots are with it.
2. Have fun. I stressed about the weather and the photog. told me it was better not to have direct sunlight.
3. Try different areas. We used the playground under the bridge and the lampposts (1940's!) for photos.

The only thing I wish is that we took more in front of the bridge but it was so windy!!!

Ok. Hope I can answer all the questions!

The photographer is Don of SilverFox. He was awesome and will be doing my wedding. I believe there is one that I am truly in love with for the 'newspapers' - I am coming up from behind FH and you can see the ring and we are both smiling. It's perfect for the newspaper...so keep your eyes peeled for it!

I did the Whitestone because there were more opportunities to have other types of pics... but as we passed the Throgs on the Cross Island, I kicked myself for not thinking of the park there. The Whitestone is not as crowded. And bascially, we use either one to see each other so it still conveys the right message.

I got my makeup done. I felt that since I went to the trouble of getting a trial and wanted a bit 'more' for my pictures than a regular day, that I should get my makeup done. I think it looks good in MOST pictures, but to be honest, I am not a fan of makeup on me in general so there are some pics that I am not happy about physically.

I need to think about makeup for my day-of. For the record, FH didn't like all the makeup and made me fix my eyes a bit (well, he didn't make me, but he was right). But that is for another day.

Overall, very happy. I like that they are different and will be apart of a great album. I really would like to use a series of them for the wedding day...and I can't wait to see them retouched by SilverFox and for nice printouts.

I did 8x10's for the parents and smaller ones for the old grumpy aunt and the grandma.. although they forgot it....Typical... But i made tons of wallets and haven't given away a single one! Maybe one to my mom.. I think she showed something to someone at work.. Ack look at my daughter.. followed by something negative with a smile and loving look in her eye She is so warm hearted.

but that's good to know. i know that some of the ladies we sent thank yous to actually framed the front of the card!!!!!
