Not wedding related-Glen Oaks, Queens

Does anyone know this area well?? Me and my Fi are looking to buy a townhouse/condo and heard that Glen Oaks had some nice places. Please let me know if you have any info on this place before I waste time investigating. Thanks

I know the area just from shopping, driving through. Are you in NYC now??It's on the border of Nassau, so it's an ideal location. To commute to Manhattan by public transportation, I'm not sure about. I think it's close to New Hyde Park, Floral Park. Aside from houses, the places that I've seen that look like condos, are like garden apts. Is this what you're looking at?? What is the price range that you've seen??

We used to have a co-op at Glen Oaks. Some of the units are really nice, and some not so much. Since they are owned by the occupants, it depends on how people have kept us with their place. The one we were in was nice, but small. It was a 1 bedroom, and if you have a lot of stuff, there is not much storage. Also, when we lived there my car got stolen, which from what we heard is a common thing over there because it is so close to the parkways. I hope some of this information helps.

I live close to Glen Oaks, and they are apts. not really condos. Depending on if you are on the first or second floor, you have a neighbor upstairs from you or downstairs, and it`s really close together to your next door neighbors. If you don`t mind that, take a look.
