i know i should be thankful for any e-gift we get, BUT we got the ugliest bowl from mikasa as an e-gift from one of FFIL's friends. it was not something on our registry...

does anyone know if we take it to the oulet in riverhead if we get cash or store credit?

Probably store credit w/out a receipt, or an exchange. They have other nice stuff there. Or you can 're-gift' it!

is it from someone you see often? if so, i would hold onto it...plus i'm sure they will ask your fil's if they see it at your place...

i've never met them...
probably the only time i'll ever see them is at our wedding! lol

i had a hard time with this too after our e-party..how many different ways can you say 'thnak you for the lovely gift?'

I'd say take it to the outlets and get credit. They really do have a lot of nice things there. If the ugly bowl is ever brought up in conversation...'Oops! Sadly things break!'

i would definitely take it back to the store and see if you can get something back (doesn't hurt to try)...

for our eparty, we received these really ugly salsa dish from my aunt and returned it at marshalls. we got store credit for less than $10!
