Note for late timing

Note for late timing

Ok im not freaking out anymore..i went to a printing press to see if they would replicate my insert for my invite. The lady and her daughter working there actually suggested putting in a lil note card into the invite stating that the time is later. She said to put it in like a cute poem or something. Sooooooo.....now i need help thinking of what words to write which wont sound stupid.. All help is much appreciated!

Re: Note for late timing

I had my invitations ordered overseas and I just realized today that the timing on the invite is way too early from the timing we have for the RH. I was actually thinking of ordering totally new invites, but I honestly dont have the time to, and plus I really like my invitations as they are. So I went to a printing press and the lady and her daughter suggested putting a note into the invite about time change, which seems like a great idea! It also wont take so much time since I want to send invites out next week! So I need help thinking of two or three lines stating time has changed, but in like a nice polite way.

The only problem that I could see is that people would keep the invite up on a bulletin board or fridge.. and lose the insert.. and refer back to the invite for the time (which would be the wrong time)... especially b/c we send the invites weeks b/4 the wedding.

I agree with the previous post that people may throw away the insert and may just keep the original invite with the wrong time

what time is listed and what time is it supposed to be?

an hour and half :( i wanted originally a half hour difference. I think im going with the note. I dont have time to make new invitations, and at this point, i dont have extra money to spend on invites. lol

Go with the note...I think its a good idea, because most of the time people write it down in their date book or they can change it on the invitation when they get it and then throw out the note.

What time do you want people to arrive...maybe knowing the times You can come up with a cute little rhyme..something like
'The Invitation said that the party will start at 8,
But thats wrong..its starts at ____...
and we dont want you to be late...'

I just got back from the printing press, and this is what i got done
'The festivities will start
But one hour late
With joyous celebration
Please join us at eight! '

the timing was 7 on the invite, which was wayyy too early.so we think 8 will be perfect. so even if there are some late comers, they wont be toooo late!
Thank You for your suggestion tho :)
