Sorry girls I need to vent. So Last Sat i woke up with a really nasty cold and was sick the whole weeek but still went to work and fought through it. It started to go away this past weekend, but then I got worse again. I wound up with a reash on my forhead and wemnt to the dr. today for him to tell me it looks like shingles. Oh my god... So now i do not have medical insaurance b/c i switched jobs and start it again May1. Now i am a sub so i can't go to work incase some kids have not had chicken pox. I get paid by the day so i am out probably this whole week and on vaca next week. Nothing can ever go right for me. Plus I believe my shower is this weekend. What am i going to do? I can't be around pregnant people, kids, or people who not had chicken pox. I am so upset right now...

OMG! That is so difficult. I am thinking of you and hope you feel better soon. I wish i had advice but all i can say is get lots of rest and plenty of fluids. I hope you get better really soon.

oh no!! What about going to the ER? They cant turn you away if you have no insurance. Maybe they can give you something?

Going to the ER means you will get help, but FH went to the ER because we thought he had appendicitis, and he got a 7000 bill

Go to the ER and dont pay the bill. Its probably not good for credit but thats what I used to do before I had insurance. It probably wont be too expensive. Theyll end up giving you a prescription for Valtrex. Thats what they gave my grandma for shingles. So sorry this is happening. Try not to stress more though, it will make it worse!

Its so sad but so true... 2 years ago I had started a new job, so i didnt have health insurance for 3 months (and i refused to pay over $400/month for COBRA) so of course in those 3 months i got deathly ill from an infection in my tonsils that it spread throughout my body and towards my heart. So i was hospitalized for 3 days...over $10k!!! still paying it off and will be forever
that $400 a month for 3 months doesnt sound so bad for me now!!!
I hope you feel better and get the meds and help you will need. Shingles is not fun!!!!

Yup!! Plus he tried to apply for medicare there and they gave him the run around. Oh and at this time he didnt have a job, by the time he actually got somewhere with medicare he had a job and they told him he makes too much Trust me it isnt

Just try to relax...take whatever meds the Dr. give you. I know it's not the best time..but take care of you first! Rest and see how everything goes the rest of this week.
