So FH decided that we should register at Fortunoff the other night because we were eating dinner with some friends near there.
FH has been engaged before and he is set as far as the house goes... we have a house, we have furniture, etc
As I'm walking around he asks me to register for this or that.... and I found myself talking him out of it lol. My mother always used this line while I was growing up and now it's biting me in the butt: 'Do you see anything you can't live without?' ... cause I don't!!!
I can certainly live without $400 toasting flutes and 2000 dollar knives.... This is all very stressful and I don't like it.
I don't need any of this stuff... and I don't want it either! I don't get excited over cookware or lamps...
I just want to be married. lol Thanks for listening.

Yeah the honeymoon registry should be a good option.

Thank you for your help. That is what I wanted to do to begin with so that's probably what I'll end up doing.
We can't afford a honeymoon really - with the wedding and stuff so I thought it would be nice to register for things on the honeymoon to help us out.
FMIL said that's trashy and tacky because we would know what people were spending on us... umm...? was I not supposed to see the prices at Fortunoff while I was registering? What the heck? LOL
...and the frustrating comments like that she makes - made me know for sure that FH and I were right for each other... afterall you're MIL is supposed to drive you nuts right? LOL (joking)

Awww, I understand!! Maybe you could talk to him and come to a compromise? You know, ask him if you could scale down the registry??
