Re: nothing thrown at church?
I was in the same boat about not being able to throw rose petals, birdseed, rice, etc. I didn't want bubbles either.
I found these really cool streamers online and they are amazing. I ordered the sample and fell in love when I got them. Then I scoured the internet and found them a little bit cheaper. They don't make a mess and FH thought I was nuts but I threw them and had him take pictures and they came out awesome!
I found them online somewhere else and ordered 60 of them for $150 with free shipping.

Re: nothing thrown at church?
My church did not allow anything to be thrown when I got married. Even my flower girls was not allowed to throw rose petals down and no aisle runner was allowed!!
I had bubbles after the ceremony! Which I worked really hard on! I glued the ribbons on only to have it pouring on my wedding day!!
So I recommend the bubbles!!!

We're not doing anything. The entrance to that church is so narrow and the side walk is just there.

Re: nothing thrown at church?
I've been to weddings where people do nothing and it's fine... my MOH had bells at theirs b/c they weren't allowed to throw things either. I'm doing bubbles-- they're in champagne bottles and are huge!! got them off ebay real cheap ;)

Re: nothing thrown at church?
My MOHs church didn't allow anything to be thrown so she had bubbles and someone from the church came out and yelled at us because the bubbles were blowing inside and getting the floor wet.... so you can't win with those either....I think it is fine to have nothing!

Re: nothing thrown at church?
Or (i just thought of this) what if you had your BP and parents light sparklers??? Just giving it to them will keep things safe and they can line your walkway....then just make sure no one throws the stick on the floor! They can't argue that because it leaves nothing to be cleaned up!!!

Re: nothing thrown at church?
I felt the same way but I decided to get bubbles, I used ones that claimed they were stain free. We had no issues i know of and the pics looked pretty. I am glad I had something.
There were even prettier ones then this with the bubbles. My pro photographer had a bunch.
