Help!!!! I am having an engagement party. It is casually nice. Not too dressy, but not too casual. The guys will probably be in kahkis. What should I wear? I want to stand out, but i don't want to be over/under dressed.... Can everyone please give ideas or just post what you wore to your engagement party.... preferably winter e parties....

mine was in the winter time and I just wore black pants and a nice bcbg green top....it was at an upscale bar in manhattan, and I was dressed appropriately....i think black pants and a cute top always works.

Since you said it is casual, a sweater and skirt might be nice. Or black pants. As she mentioned before, you can't go wrong with black pants and a cute top.

I had a similar engagement party I just went and got a dress from bloomingdales. I would just get a dress or a really nice skirt so that you stand out but aren't too over dressed.

I agree with black pants, nice boots or heels and a sweater or blouse would be cute.

We're having our E-party in December and I'm wearing black pants and a top I got at Bloomies. It's a wine color with this little sparkly things on it. Casual but dressed up just a bit.
