NOTW Announcement!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First, once again thanks to Betsy for passing the torch my way!!

Honestly, all of you ladies are so awesomely wonderful but my choice for NOTW was surprisingly easy!!!! I knew right away, there could be no other than a VERY special 06er who keeps on rockin' no matter what the world throws at her!!!

She's shared so much of herself with us and we've cried alongside her, in the same breath she can make us laugh harder than anyone else on these boards!!!!!! She's always fair in times of conflict and so well-spoken with every post, her DH is a lucky man and I am so honored to call her my friend!!! She has shown incredible strength and has become a true inspiration to me. Now I pray for her next endeavor to be a success, in the meantime I know this will bring that lovely smile to her face.

Aww shucks ladies. I am speechless...

Nah who am I kidding. I have quite a bit to say. First, I would like to thank Cindy - happy and jumping Cindy - for passing this honor of distinction on to me. I promise I will not let you all down.

I just realized that it has been over two years since I started posting on this website - which in most cases is a very good thing.

I suppose I would not be here if I wasn't a bride in the first place and that would not be possible without DH. Those of you who know him, know how supportive and gentle he is. You also know how he mocks LIW, liberals, and me every chance he can get. But despite his political affiliations and his distaste for all that is wedding related, his heart is pure. He also knows that without the friendship and support through wedding planning, MAJOR family crises and current situations, I would be somewhat of a lost soul. Though he is my true love, soulmate and confidant, he also recognizes the value of the friendship only women provide for each other. I love him with all of my heart and as each day passes, I know how truly blessed I am (except from Labor Day weekend through the first week of February).

What can I say about a group of ladies from all over NY (props to the out of staters) who have given of themselves with words of advice and support? The 06ers (and about 3-4 05ers) mean so much to me. You have become a sounding board in a way that even DH knows he can't be. I have had more virtual 'bull sh*t' sessions with you all here than I have had in ages. The sororal nature of this board is incredibly apparent. I am always in amazement of how we pull together for each other in time of need - like a family does. There are no questions asked - its just done. When one of us needs help, everyone pitches in. I do not mean for myself (even though for a while there I was damn needy) I mean for anyone. I am in awe of each and every one of you.

I have made an incredible amount of friends and continue to develop deep and meaningful relationships with many people here. Since DH have started the ultimate and most personal journey to become parents, your heartfelt wishes and gestures of support have been accepted with every ounce of thanks that we have. You are invaluable. You all know who you are.

I thank you for tolerating my verbosity, my wackyness and my love for cheese.
