When are you sending out your invites? I have an October 1st response date but I'm not sure when to send them out.
Also, what are you working on and what do you still have to do?

I plan on sending mine out right before Labor Day weekend. We still have to order ours!!
Other than that we have to do:
tuxes book honeymoon order ketubah and yarmulkes for jewish ceremony dress fittings buy shoes groomsmen gifts
there'sprobably more i am forgetting but i think we are in good shape!

I have them almost ready to go and once I'm done I just don't want them hanging around!

My invitation place put the rsvp for sept 24th...no clue y, i wanted it to be the 1st. She told me to mail them the week of aug 13th. So I would think that week or the following should be fine for you. We still have parent gifts, tuxes, flowergifl/ringbearer gifts...and...i think that's it...oh, I have to send out the rehearsal dinner invites...am I forgetting something?? OH..programs..sorry...haha

i still have to:
-assemble invitations -print envelopes for invitations -DIY aisle runner -DIY memorial candle -gifts for groomsmen (my BM are done! yesss!) -DIY menus -book rehearsal dinner -rehearsal dinner invites -tuxedos for groom & GM -paint & bedazzle my 'Happily Ever After' words that are going on my placecard and cake tables -bedazzle my monogram cake topper -get together my candy buffet -put together kodak note cards for favors (we r donating money as the favor & we are having our picture taken as we deliver the check...so im going to go to kodak.com & get note cards made up with the pic on the front & an explanation on the inside) -hair trial (this friday) -makeup trial
hmmm...i know im forgettting some things but thats all i can think of for now!!
as for my dress...i got it at a sample sale so i dont have to wait for it to come in. fitting is Sept 15. (as well as my makeup trial)
soooooo much to do! yikesssss!!!!

I'm a November 17th Bride...
I already sent out my invitations to my friends... they knew it was coming and it was just easier to send them out. (they're just laying around my house) The extended family will be going out over the course of the next two weeks.
I put a September 15th RSVP date, but on hind-sight, I think I should have put November 1sth.
Our room has a cap of 280, and we're sending our invites out in waves. We're targeting the second wave to go out the second week or third week of August.
Sometimes you just want to knock things off of your list.

-Tuxes -Flowers -Book a RD place -Send out RD invites -Groomsmen gifts -Make DIY Table Numbers -Order matchbooks and napkins -Order Almonds, tulle and ribbon -Make 5 Almonds favor -Order Maple Syrup favors -Make DIY envelope Seals -Print out more Hotel inserts -Send out Invites -Go for Hair trial -My dress is already in and tried on so all I have to do is go for fittings -Fix up Chest for cards -Make DIY memorial candle -Make DIY Church Programs
That's all I can think of right now...UGH seems like more than I thought...

I still have to: - Get tuxes - get parents gift cards - assemble oot boxes - assemble my girls gift boxes - go over finals w dj and florist - fittings =) - dye my shoes - get more bathing suits for hm - print programs, menus... already have them done - get marriage license... i'm thinking that's really it

Wedding Day: Nov. 3 RSVP Date: Oct. 1 Mailing Inviations: the week of Aug. 13
Gives ppl. 6 weeks notice before the RSVP's are due. We still have:
- Finish making & assembling invitations - Order groomsmen gifts - make programs (after mtg w/priest in Sept) - make placecard (after RSVP date) - make CD favors - make M&M favors - Hair trial in Sept. - I have my dress already and my Mom is doing alterations so that will start in late Sept/Early Oct - Make OOT boxes - Mail RD Invites

I plan on sending out by Sept 1st b/c I don't think I'll have them back from the calligrapher until about then. My RSVP date is October 1st. I think 8 weeks before the event is enough time. I think even if I gave people longer to RSVP, I'll still be calling those who can't put the envelope in the mail.
