Nov. 3 wedding - Vendor Reviews (long)

Well I am back from Australia and wanted to post our day. In one word....AMAZING! I promise all the hard work and stress you girls are experiencing now will pay off. And as it has been said many times...the day really flies by. Sans Souci - was perfect! Everyone was a little late getting there because our ceremony started late due to the organist being 1/2 hour late. Only mishap of the day...of all things that are really out of your control. Anyway, they were so accomodating and everything looked wonderful. I had a autumn theme with leaves and pumpkins everywhere. I keep hearing rave reviews about the food and how plenitful it was. Code Bleu (band)- was worth every penny. They sounded great and had everyone dancing even though it was an afteroon wedding. I had heard people don`t always get up and dance at afternoon weddings. Strathmore Limo - was great. The limo driver was early, knew his way around and was really personable. He was even the one who realized that the organist wasn`t at the church. Donald Hedgecock (florist) The flowers arrived early and looked perfect. I even got to see the flowers that were being brought to the church. Everything really looked amazing. Deja Vu Studios (photographer and video) - Dennis was really wonderful. It was raining before the wedding and he was very reassuring and kept my mind off of the weather. By the time we got to Sans Souci it was beautiful and we got to take pictures outside. He was patient and efficient since we were alreay behind schedule. I haven`t seen the proofs yet, but I am confident they will look great. I guess that it all for now. Feel free to ask any questions. The day really was great and the moment I saw my FI (now husband) waiting for me at the altar all my stress from the weather, planning and the organist mishap disappeared. I really was floating through the day. Good luck with all your planning. Happy Thanksgiving.

Yeah, congrats!! I am so happy to hear good reviews, as I am having my reception at the Sans Souci. I see you went with the all the Sans Souci recommened vendors!! That puts me at ease to hear everything was perfect. The only thing we haven't book is the limos - and were thinking of using Strathmore as well - can you post their info and pricing if your willing to share? Once again, congrats on being a MRS. now and I hope you continue to use these boards in order to give brides to be some valuable advice!!

Strathmore Limo

We did use most of their recommended vendors. We met them at a tasting in Jan and found them very personable and competitive. We got a Rolls Royce, I believe for about $400. They also include a towncar for the bride and groom after the wedding at no additional charge, since they have a relationship with Sans Souci. This worked out great, so we didn't have to hitch a ride with someone. This board really is great. I am from NJ and really valued everyones input. Good luck
