Nov brides invitation mailing??

When is everyone mailing out there invitations??

Is anyone planning on doing a second mailing after the original responses??

I still has sooo much to do in these last 4 1/2 months!!!

We are sending them out the first week of September. I am looking forward to getting them out..Still dont have many addresses from FI (very frustrated!!)

One of my BM is doing the calligraphy - I am going to give her the entire month of August to do them.

Cool, I hope to do my own calligraphy. I used to be pretty good at it. I'm picking up the pen kit in the next couple days to start practicing

i am having my friend do the calligraphy - well, her version of it - but it looks nice and is in our price range (free - well, we're going to get her somehtign anyway sicne she refuses to take $$)

I am going to print mine on the computer. I've been practicing with envelopes to make sure they look good.

FH convinced me to do calligraphy on the computer. We do have a nice laser printer at home and he knows how to print on envelopes...

i feel so behind! i just ordered my invitations yesterday! i think they'll be here 1st week of august. i need to figure out how to do the addresses on the invites. i know you aren't supposed to use labels, but clear labels would be the easiest for me. the envelopes are a weird size so i don't want to risk running them through the computer. i may handwrite them myself- but i can't do calligraphy. i don't want to pay $1-2 for an invite to get them done- esp since i have 230 invitations going out.

i want to see the invitations NOW! ha .

jagrawal7, you can try making a paper template the size of your envelopes and practice the printing.

We are doing ours on the computer, but I'll be hand feeding everyone. You have so many invites it 'might' be faster to try to size it on the computer rather than handwriting. If you do handwrite I would not worry about the calligraphy, handwritten will look very nice and add an extra personal touch!

If you do try them in the printer order extra envelopes.

There are also printing services that will computer print them for you and I think they are cheaper than haveing someone do hand calligraphy. But I'm not sure of the prices.
