St. Maarten. I like the fact that it's 2 countries in one and you can take katamaran (sp?) trips to other islands so it's like going to a bunch of different places.

We were thinking aruba because Travel agent said that is our best bet. On google if you put in Mexico it says it could possibly we winter there? Is anyone concerned about this. I would love to go there but I want good weather.

Thanks, the price was GREAT too... 9 days for 2, with airfare just about $4k. the weather will be nice there at that time of the year. its the tail end of hurricane season, so there should be no worries about that. our travel agent said it should be in the 80's at that time. We went to mexico 3 yrs ago at the end of oct, and it was HOT and beautiful. i wouldnt worry.

we're going to Dreams Resort in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico...it'll be about 78-85 degrees by day, so definitely NOT winter there!!
but we're going about 2 weeks after the wedding (Dec 6-13) because my schedule could accomodate it better.
we booked in early May and it was less than $3000 for 8 days, 7 nights with non-stop round trip flights from JFK to PVR.

We're doing our honey moon on a budget... Punta Cana Princess all inclusive over 18 for 7 nights with a Honeymoon Suite. So freakin' cheap!!! We've never been to D.R.

Depends on where in Mexico you are looking to go. I wouldn't call it Winter but some parts get cooler then other -- Like the bahamas. Also you are on the tail end of Hurricane Season but high season in the Caribbean starts early December.
