Re: NOVEMBER Brides... do you believe that we are so close that....
Even though they are open late they do not issue marriage licenses after 4:45pm and you must be present by 4:15pm From there website
The Town Clerk is responsible for issuing a New York State Marriage License to qualified applicants as well as recording the marriage with the New York State Department of Health. The marriage record is on file in this office and in Albany.
Licenses to marry in New York State may be obtained from the Town Clerk’s Office (Town Hall East, 54 Audrey Avenue, Oyster Bay, New York 11771 or Town Hall South, 977 Hicksville Road, Massapequa, New York 11758) regardless of the residence of either of the parties. Once the license is issued, the ceremony may be performed anywhere in the state. A marriage license is good for sixty (60) days, beginning twenty-four hours (24) after the license is issued. The requirements for the issuance of marriage licenses in the Town of Oyster Bay are mandated by the provisions of the New York State Domestic Relations Laws.
The marriage section of the Oyster Bay Town Clerk’s Office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Applicants should arrive prior to 4:15 p.m. Both applicants must appear in person. Two forms of ID are required - one of the following age-related documents: birth certificate, baptismal record, naturalization record or census record AND one of the following identity-related documents: driver's license, passport, employment picture ID or immigration record. Applicants whose previous marriage(s) ended in divorce, annulment or death of spouse, must provide proof of dissolution of all previous marriage(s) by presenting a certified copy of Divorce or Civil Annulment or certified copy of Death Certificate for each previous marriage.
A fee of $40.00 is required and includes the cost of the marriage certificate. A blood test is not required. Payment may be made in cash, check or money order made payable to 'Steven L. Labriola, Town Clerk'.
A certified 'Transcript of Marriage' can be obtained by applying in person or by mail. If requesting by mail, please indicate the groom’s last name, bride’s maiden name, date of marriage, where the marriage took place, and residence at the time the marriage license was issued, along with your return address and fee of $10.00. Payment may be made in cash or by local check or money order made payable to 'STEVEN L. LABRIOLA, Town Clerk'.
If requesting in person, the bride or groom must fill out an 'Application for Copy of Marriage Record' form, show photo identification and pay the required fee. For further information, call the Town Clerk’s office, (516) 624-6335.

Re: NOVEMBER Brides... do you believe that we are so close that....
Is it bad that FH and I are going on Rosh Hashanna to get ours? We both live in NJ and unfortunately, I cannot take anymore time off from work before the wedding (although I've been at my job a year, I have not alot of vac time left, and in fact will be going over my allotment by 3 days w/the wedding and hm, but luckily I have a GREAT boss). Anyway, We are going to be visiting my father for the holiday's and this is the only time we can get to NY to get our license.
I'm just worried that my VERY orthodox rabbi who is officiating the wedding will see the date on the license and get upset.

You have to be there by 4:15PM on the days they are open until 4:45PM. Two Tuesdays a Month (the next ones being Oct 11th & 25th) they are open until 7 or 730PM and you can get them after 415pm.
