hey girls, i am freaking out and going crazy right now... the lady who is suppose to do my caligraphy is on vacation and only comes back on sunday!!!!!!!! i am freaking out and dunno if i'm going to be behind in sending my invitations to the guests... the wedding is november 7th and i am wondering when is the time frame of sending them out?? will i be ok?? i am really freaking out!!
and on the invitations the RSVP date is october 7th!!!! ahhhhh!!!!!
when are you ladies sending your invites out... please tell me so i can feel at ease!!!

Ok first and foremost... take a deep breathe and relax! Dont get yourself upset over the little things!! =) I am november 6th, Hoping to send mine out by mid-end of august, with a rsvp date of oct 1st. I dont know how long calligraphy w/ someone else takes since I am doing my outter envelopes myself but I would think as long as she can have them back in a week or two you should be fine! (besides sunday is only 3 days away!) and so what if you are a day or two late sending them out! Your loved ones are STILL gonna come anyway! hth

I am doing my own computer calligraphy. I haven't even finished entering FH's guest list yet (why? oh because he hasn't finished it yet but that's another story). Our RSVP date is 10/1 and I need to get them out to Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, etc. I'm hoping to get them out by 8/24.

My wedding was 11.15 last year & I mailed out Sept 1....but that was tooo early. My Rsvp was oct 15. I wish I would have waited because I was stressing myself out waiting for the responses. I mailed out save the dates...so everyone knew. You will be fine. Don't worry.

I'm getting married Nov 1st and I'm sending mine out tomorrow. I have an RSVP date of Sept. 20th. I did that b/c people take FOREVER to respond and are always late so I figure better a little early than late, you know? With that said, we're ahead of schedule. Ideally they should go out 2-3 months before the wedding so don't wait too long, but you're going to be fine so RELAX!! It'll all work out just fine. And even if they're a little late I doubt you have an Emily Post expert on your invitation list that'll disapprove, lol. Here's a hug to cheer you up!!

We just got out our invites on Tuesday (Aug 4) with an RSVP date of Sept 1. Our wedding is Oct 3.
We sent them out with 3 weeks to RSVP. I thought we were late but honestly I'm glad we're only giving 3 weeks to respond. Why prolong the waiting??
You can technically send out invites 6-8 weeks before the date of the event.

believe it or not, I am anal and just sent my invites out today. My fiance is at the PO box right now getting them hand cancelled (he better do it right!!!) my rsvp was Sept 15...I know I know too early.

My wedding is November 6th and we are sending them out right after Labor Day. Figure then 4 weeks from that is the RSVP date... so then I have 4 weeks to track some naughty people down and do the seating.
Beginning of Sept - invites go out Beginning of Oct - rsvp date Beginning of Nov - Love and Party!!!!

Um I just ordered them yesterday my date is 11-14 the second they come in I will hold hostage my BP and make them tie bows and stuff!!
Iam also going away for 10days in Sept which is even more nuts~!
Dont worry you have time! Sometimes you have to ignore brides who do everything so early. I know someone who is getting marrried at the end of Dec she has had her invites, sealed and stamp since FEB!!!

I am November 20, 2009 I just ordered mine from the wedding center in commack (one stop shopping there its great !) they came in a week Don't stress ! They have a caligrapher that will do them in 2 to 3 business days I dont know if you want to try there . Im not sure how much the caligrapher is. Question Other November brides my reply date is Oct 15th when should i send them out ?

My RSVP date is Oct 12 and my calligrapher is on vacation next week. I'm hoping she gets the envelopes back to me by the end of August so I can mail out invites the first week of September.
I really hope to have them in the mail by labor day weekend, but who knows with the damn wax seal FH insists on having!
