november wedding

i got an invitation for a november wedding in the mail today. isnt this kinda early to be sending them out?? the wedding is in VA and she didnt do STD so i guess she wanted to make sure everyone had time for travle arangements. and the rsvp date is sept 1st.

what is the traditional time line for STD, invitations and rsvps?

STD's - About a year in advance

Invitations - I believe rule of thumb is 3 months before the wedding

RSVP - Not too sure actually, I would say 3-4weeks???

Yea I think it is a little too early to send out the invites for a november wedding. However, maybe they sent out special invites for the OOTers???

My wedding is November 7 and I'm sending mine out towards the end of August with an Oct 7 RSVP date. But i only have about 8 OOTers andthey already made their arrangements.

The RSVP date is usually about a month before the event

I would say:

STD's - About a year in advance

Invitations - I think two months before??

RSVP - about a month before the party

STD - 1 year
Invitaion - 2 months
RSVP - depends on the place. 1 place told me they need the balance paid in full 10 days prior to the party, where as another place told me 21 days prior.
