Now I am screwed on invitations

I didn't know you have to put 1/2 hr before the ceremony starts. I wanted my invitation to say 2 o clock. Now it has to say one-thirty!!! That is such a stupid time to write on an invitation 'half past one???' I am going to have to call my RH now and have them change the time!

I have to write the same time on my invites, I personally don't see anything wrong with half past one.

ummmmm......i think 1: 30 is perfectly fine lol. at least i wouldnt care if i got that invitation.

Personally, I love the way half past something sounds. Reminds me of the way my Grandmother (who I miss very much) would tell time.

There will be other things to stress out about. Try to relax. Feel free to FM me if you want to vent.

can someone explain why a half hour before has to be written? is it because people naturally just suck at being on time?

or is it because we will all be getting there guys about 20 mins before, girls about 10 mins before, so the guests should all be getting there or be there already?

I think that's why. It really doesn't matter to me...good luck to the photog and my DOC with keeping me on time!!!

Yeah but half past one? half past two sounds so much better lol, I have to email my banquet manager and see what he says...

im surprised your hall didnt tell you when you booked...ours told us invitation time 6 pm real ceremony time 6:30..

they want to make sure everyone gets there and can be seated by the time the ceremony starts...
