Now I finally get it....................

when brides/grooms are annoyed that the people who RSVP that they will NOT attend do not give a reason.

FH's cousin and her husband were all excited to attend when he called to get the address but we got back their RSVP with 'regretfully decline' checked off. No note to explain why, no phone call - nothing

Since they're family, i'd call them to find out why they're not attending the wedding.

FH did not call them but did tell me that it's probably due to her girlfriend not being invited I cannot believe that she could be so silly - not coming to the wedding since her girlfriend is not invited As if her husband and entire family won't be there

The girlfriend is someone FH & I do not get along with at all so why would we invite her We found out that she is really angry to have not been invited and she obviously told his cousin.

Whatever. More people from my side can come

I just really don't get how guests feel like they should be able to dictate who attends someone else's wedding FH's brother tried that crap too
