now im nervous..

ok so my soon to be sister in law informed me that fox hollow, chateau briand, and westbury manor are no longer scotto brothers owned. is this true?? and she said the food was terrible at fox hollow and i booked there.. what do i do now?

If I were you I would call and ask them directly. Just because she thought the food want that good dosent mean that others wont LOVE it..different strokes for different fokes. Give them a call in the morning

I haven't heard anything about that.. But I agree.. just b/c one person doesn't like the food doesn't mean that everyone felt the same.. Also different chefs...

hope this is not true!!!

earlier this year or late last year the scotto brothers split up the three. but only the fh and cb are associated with each other.
the westbury manor is owned by anthony scotto.

My cousin attended a reception in September and she said the food was awesome at Fox Hollow.

If anything, have dinner at their restaurant, its the same chef that will provide the food at the reception (that was what I was told this weekend when I went to see them)

That's not true. Westbury and Watermill aren't associated with the 'Scotto Brother' name anymore but FH and CB are- check their web site. Seems as though there are a lot of rumors going around about them. On the FH thread there is one that they fired their head chef. Even if this is true, they have more than one award winning chef.

I went to a wedding (Sat daytime) Nov 5 and I was dissapointed by my filet mignon but other than that the food was great. Honestly, it's catering hall food- it won't blow you away but the Scotto brothers do a better job than most. I'm a FH bride too, I'm going to enjoy my day no matter what!! Don't worry either!! You can't please everyone!

I went to Fox Hollow and Westbury Manor on Sunday, both have the Scotto Brother's logo on their intake but I was told by the girl in WM that the Scotto brother's separated and Anthony Scotto owns Westbury Manor and a place in Vegas and the other(s) own Chateau Briand and Fox Hollow.

I have heard that WEstbury Manor is not part of the Scotto Brothers entity BUT it is still owned by one of the Scotto Brothers..Don't Worry

I belive it is Jerry Scotto who owns the WM now. I met with him when i booked. Why does it matter whether or not they are Scotto Bros anyway?

As for the comment about Fox Hollow, I think that was extremely rude to say that the food was awful. I can't get over how people say things like this to those who have booked at these places.

I know that just over a year ago Jerry Scotto became the owner of the Westbury Manor. That's where I'm getting married, so I can't talk about the other halls but I've been paying attention to WM reviews and I hear nothing but raves about the food and service. I realize that the Scotto brothers have a reputation but I booked based on reviews here and from people I know, not b/c they were Scotto Brothers. From what I understand they have all been involved in this family business for a very long time and seem to all know what they're doing...together or alone.
If you look for some recent reviews about FH I'm sure you will see that they are all wonderful and you have nothing to worry about!

Jerry Scotto told me that he wanted to run the Westbury Manor his way so he took that one over. Maybe they each took one? But they are all still Scotto's

ok so i called today.. and i spoke to chateau briand and fox hollow. they said they are absolutely not selling off their halls and that the brothers split like you all said. but just to make 100% sure, im having dinner friday night, to make sure the food is still good, and meeting w/ the person i booked w/.. i know im paranoid but this is the last thing i need to go wrong.. so far everything has gone smooth..
