I have health insurance
we also bought a house in the S.Babylon area Does anyone have a Primary care Dr. & an OBG/Gyn in my new neighborhood???? also, which hospital is the best to go to in case of an emergency?? TIA

I'd recommend Dr. Maiorino at South Bay Ob/Gyn...the office is on Montauk Hwy right at the end of Rt. 231. http://www.southbayobgyn.com/ It's on the West Islip/Babylon border.

I don't have a primary care doc, but there's Good Samaritan Hospital on Montauk Hwy in W. Islip & there's Southside Hosp. also on Montauk in Bay Shore...it's a little further away but it's supposedly the better of the two (according to some friends of mine)

I also go to South Bay OB/GYN but I see Dr. Pallotta, he's very good. For a PCP I go to a Dr.'s office on Sunrise Hwy, right next to Town Hall, his name is Dr. Ballot.

And Good Sam for a hospital, that's where I was born!

I haven't been there in years (knock wood!!), but I'll agree with the ladies about Good Sam! It's a good hosp. & it's closer to you...

I use Dr. Maiorino also. He's adorable!!!!! and I use Dr. Sica, Savino, Guida, and Giganti 422-3377. I try to see Dr. Giganti beause I like him the best, but they are all nice and great

Good Samaritan Hospital is awesome, and pretty close to you. Also, if you need Dr. Referrals or info on them, you can call 631 376 4444 and they will mail you a directory of all their medical staff and affiliated doctors with private practices.
