I may make mine a wearable dress. I think if I shortened it, it could be honestly.

I love my dress, but cant picture preserving it and putting it somewhere...I only paid $300 for it so I was thinking of donating it to a charity in LI that a bride on this site mentioned. They take your dress clean it and sell it and all proceeds go to their charity.

My option isn't there!!!
I want to alter it and wear it again!!
If its too complicated, I'll sell it. If my daughters are going to be anything like me they are going to want the latest hottest designers not some old junk.

The dress I have in mind is pretty cheap, about $400.00. I kinda want to do something at the end of my reception that would ruin it, but have a photograph of me doing so, like jumping in the pool at the hotel. I'm never gonna wear it again...

I think I might keep it but I am also toying with the idea of donating it. I have had such a hard time trying to get this wedding to happen I would like to donate it to help someone else.

I had mine preserved but I am seriously considering having it made into a christening gown for our children (when we have them ) I'm just not sure if I can stomach the idea of having someone cut it But for now, it's in a box in the spare bedroom closet.

I didn't choose either -- it is a really nice dress but I was thinking I could dye it black and keep it as a formal dress. It doesn't really have a train, and is very form fitting, so I might want to try to get some more use out of it.
If that wouldn't work out though, I might just try to donate it. I am sure there are lots of women out there would cannot afford a lace and beaded dress and would love the chance to own one.
