OK, we booked our reception hall last night, and the church is reserved (will meet with the priest at a later date). What do we do know? Should we book the photographer first? Do I have time to wait until after the holidays? I dont know how quick photographers book? Can we wait with the DJ? I still have over a year and a half until the evnt.

I would start looking at photographers and DJ next...you do have time but you would get 2005 prices if you booked before January..just a thought

If you've got the time and the money to put down on deposits, then you might as well start looking. You'll have your pick of the best vendors and the prices can only go up if you wait. Plus you'll get a better idea of exactly how much money you're going to need to come up w/ in the future.

I booked my photographer next. I would start booking things now. at least you have time to save and know how much you have to save.

I am also a 2007 bride and have so far booked: church hall photographer/videographer My Dress Truthfully i dont believe in booking anything else just yet bercuase i dont want to rush the process. I want to have fun with it and take one thing at a time.

Book the photographer now. The good ones always get booked early. You also want to do it before the holiday because a lot of people are going to be getting engaged for x-mas, new years eve, and valentines day, also if you book them now you can lock in the rates for this year.
