Now what do I do

Now what do I do

Okay the replacement dress came today First of all most of you know by now that we are eloping in Vegas and having the big wedding in 2007. I was looking for a simple white dress and some ladies suggested the bridal stores on ebay. So I found one and was very excited about it because it was perfect for Vegas and since the original dress I wanted would've taken too long to order I bought it. The first dress came in about a week ago and not only did it have animal hair all over the bottom which was no big deal thanks to lint brushes but there was a huge imperfection on the front of the dress in the fabric were it looks like maybe bleach was splashed. So they took it back and sent me a replacement which came this morning.... They forgot to send the shawl with it and the back of the dress has two dark oil stains on it and the seem on the bottom is splitting... I went to Estelles today and found nothing, Annie Sez nothing, Fashion Fever in Sunrise mall nothing, I just dont know what to do. Im atleast a size 16-18 so finding something on the rack isnt easy and since I leave May 31st I dont have time to order anything even with rush delivery. Now Im so afraid Im not going to have a dress for the wedding. Can anyone give me a suggestion?

Have you tried david's bridal? Their Galina collection would be appropriate for vegas.

I know its unorthodox but theres this great dress warehouse where i had got my prom gowns a few years ago...its in Queens by the Maurice Ave exit of the LIE...i know its probably far for you but its super cheap and not a bad selection of party dresses and long gowns...if you are interested, FM me.

Otherwise have you looked at dept stores in their prom sections.,...thats where i got my reception dress- its ivory silk with a mini train and cowl neck for 120 at Filenes last spring

Sorry you have to deal with all these mix-ups. Maybe you can try Oh So Dressy. They carry dresses up to size 24. And most are in the $100 price range or less. They only carry dresses for special occasions. I remember I got my prom dress from them years ago and they were nothing but accomadating. It's worth a shot. Not on L.I. though

Awww thanks You guys are the best. I also went to JCPenney, Macys and Sears. Prom sections are very small. Unfortunetly I cant travel into Queens because it's too much dragging around with the babies. So in order for me to leave them home with my son I cant go off the island in case for any reason I gotta get back. I look up the others though.

I actually did look online but not too many in price range. Being that it's vegas I dont want to go overboard if I dont have too. Also does anyone know of another Davids Bridal besides the one on Glen Cove Rd. Im not to thrilled with the nasty people who work there.

Alot of pretty dresses on that site just not what Im looking for. How about samples? do you think a bridal shop sells samples in bigger sizes and then I can just have it cleaned or altered if need be.

I am sorry that you have to go through this! I am sorry, I do not know of any stores, but I wanted to say make sure you leave NEGATIVE feedback for this ebay seller! I would also take it up with ebay (and paypal if you used them) for getting your money back!

Thanks so much I have the chadwicks cataloge but didnt see anything I really liked and I actually saw the dress you posted in Macys today and it was nice just not what I wanted. Thank you though. The people who own the store I got the dress from have been really helpful and even offered a full refund without having to ask. It's just driving me nuts. I ordered a veil and it was horrible, I ordered a tiara and it was horrible and damaged and now the dress(all from different vendors through ebay). Girls who have used ebay posted such beautiful things I just happedened to be the one to find the three strikes.

Checked out Nordstrom, JCrew, and Jessica McClintock. Love the dresses however, the sizes they have dont meet my measurments. I did find a place called thebridalshop.com that has alot of gowns in stock at really discounted prices. I emailed them my measurments and am waiting for them to let me know if they can have the dresses that are in stock to me within 3 weeks. I cant believe Im leaving in 4weeks and I have NO dress.
