I am recently engaged and new to this forum! I have not selected a hall yet, but narrowed down my choices, and one of them is the North Ritz Club. Has anyone attened a wedding there? I liked the place but have no idea what the food and service is like. Any insight is greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks!

Re: NRC?
I had a bad experience when I went to a wedding, I got sick from the food...so did my sister and FH...
also the place was very expensive in comparison to other places...

Re: NRC?
I'm hvaing my wedding there. Aside form the above poster, I ahve heard nothing but raves about the food and service. one of the big reasosn we wanted NRC rather than some of the less expensive places wew ere considering was the level of service. One waiter per table, etc.

Re: NRC?
I had my wedding at NRC as well - I can bump my review for you. The service was amazing - as was the food (according to my guests). The decor of course is a matter of personal taste - but personally I loved the set up of the ballroom and the huge dance floor. Look on Brides' Review Board for my review. Good luck!!

Re: NRC?
NRC was one of the locations that I looked at the place looked beautiful, it was just a little to expensive for my budget. I am sure that you will love it!!

Re: NRC?
I was there for a wedding in May 2004. The food was excellent, the service was good. The bride & groom went all out. I have to say it was the biggest viennese hour spread I have ever seen. However, by the time CH and dinner were over, I almost didn't have room for dessert.
ETA: the groom for that wedding is FH's best man, so we did not consider it for our wedding.

Re: NRC?
I'm having my wedding at North Ritz and have been to a wedding there. The food was excellent, cocktail hour was amazing. I disagree with it being expensive. I'm having it there on a Saturday night in July and got an incredible deal. They threw in the Vieneese with two chocolate fountains.
I have had friends also attend weddings there and thought they were great. I have never heard of anyone getting sick from the food. Perhaps the person went to the wedding and got sick==unrelated
FM me if you want details. They will negotiate.

Re: NRC?
My son's wedding was a NRC and it was amazing. We paid double the price for my daughter's wedding and it wasn't as good as his. People are still raving about it and it was last year.

Re: NRC?
Thank you so much for your replies!! What a wonderful message board!!
Question to all NRC brides - did they offer you a food tasting?
Also, how are the acoustics in the room?

Re: NRC?
Yes, there was a food tasting - it was actually a fun night out. They kept the food & wine coming... The acoustics in the room were great - we had a band.

Re: NRC?
Welcome & Congratulations on your engagement!!!! oooohhhh, You are going to get so addicted to this site. I had so many questions, & still do. The girls are awesome & sooo HELPFUL!!!
Now, about the NRC.....I personally never went to a wedding there, but a coworker has, & she was the bride! She highly recommended it when I got engaged, but I never got around to checking it out, because we booked Jericho Terrace.
Whatever you decide, just make sure you check all vendors on the Better Business Bureau ----Their website is www.bbb.org
