NRC Brides

Does anyone know how much the seafood station is for the cocktail hour?

Also, if you brought a cake from a outside baker did they credit you or give you something else in place of the cake they provide?
Finally, for the cocktail hour, do they include all the passed hor'dores (the menu says chef's choice) and what station did you pick or are you going to pick. We are considering booking them but it just seems in comparison to other halls they give you less food even though the food selections they do give you seem more 'gourmet.'

All good questions and unfortunately, I don't even know - haven't gone that far.

But, as far as them giving less food, I didn't think so at all when I was looking for a venue. And from what I've read from past NRC brides, the cocktail hour was almost too much food. I didn't even consider the seafood station, so I'm not sure what it costs. I think they determine how many stations you get based on the number of guests - so I get 8 stations plus all the passed food.

I am getting married there in November. I am getting my cake from Audrey's Bake Shop and NRC offered me the viennese hour at $5 per person instead of $10 pp because we are bringing our own cake. Hope that helps!!!

I also think the seafood was $10 per person, but I booked at the beginning of '04 for an '05 wedding, so prices may have increased. I don't think I am doing the seafood. FH and I both LOVE dessert so we are doing the Viennese! Good luck with your decision!!! & Congrats!

The seafood station is $12

I think you get a $500 credit fi you don't use their cake

It's not really chef's choice for the apossed hor doerves. Our BM said we would get to talk to the chef whenw e chose our menu to choose what we wanted (because I want absolutely NO VEAL served, so I am really picky about the menu)

Our BM helped us come up witha preliminary set of stations ot pick, plus they said soem could be altered to suit our needs.

I think you get a LOT of food at NRC, and all of the stations get replensihed. It really is PLENTY of food, I'm sure. I really have NO worried about that at all! Even the seafood station is constantly replensished, so everyone can gorge themselves on shrimp if they want to!
