I am torn about where to take pictures. I love Old Westbury Gardens but I am not sure if it is worth the extra money when the NRC does have nice grounds and it would just be easier to go straigt there after the church. What did you do or what are you planing on doing? If you took you photos at NRC could you please post them. Thanks.

Re: NRC Brides Past and Present
The problem I had was I was the evening wedding, and a bride was there during the day. My church was at 2:30, yet my cocktail hour was at 7pm. We had plans to go to the Planting Fields Arboretum, but it rained the entire day anyway. We ended up taking pics at the Marriott.
If you are the first wedding of the day, I would go take my pics at the NRC. They have beautiful grounds, and they are constantly improving the area.

Re: NRC Brides Past and Present
I am also the evening wedding on my date, and I plan to take pictures at OWG before the ceremony. Since there will be a bride at NRC during the day, the earliest we will be allowed on the premises is about 5:15. We definitely won't have time to get our pictures in and start the ceremony on time, and we don't want to miss our cocktail hour!!
We are going to do most of the formals at OWG starting in the afternoon, and then we are going to head to NRC to do a few more formals and the family portraits. After that, we won't have to worry about anything!! We will be asking our photographer to pull us out of the party for about ten minutes once it gets dark in order to take some nighttime shots.

Re: NRC Brides Past and Present
I'm a friday wedding so I can arrive at the NRC when I want my issue is I think I would get better pictures at OWG than at the NRC but if we go to OWG we may have to pay overtime on the limos plus the OWG fee and I don't know if it's worth it.
