Numbering your RSVPs.....

Just curious......do you think when you number your RSVPs that the person that has a really high number might think that they were the 'B' list or something???? Do you put some sort of code??

No i just numbered 1-250, I had no A & B list..and i didnt care what anyone thought. It was def helpful though you'd be surprised how many people rsvp '2 will attend'

I didn't worry about what other people thought of their 'number' on the card. The purpose of the number was to help FH and I keep track of who RSVP'd...not to worry about what others thought. I don't think it makes a difference. I think people get offended way to easyily these days

Nah... I think my mother was # 80 or so. I wrote it so small in pencil that I don't think anyone noticed.

I don't think anyone will notice or if they do I don't think anyone will say anything.

I wrote mine on the inside of the response card. I doubt anyone would look inside. Except maybe if they were a LIW bride!

I also numbered mine and didn't have a b list. We got some responses back without any name and one back completely blank--luckily I numbered it so I knew who to call.

We used invisible ink.

I wasn't sure about that myself, so to be safe, I used Crayola Color Changing Markers. The ink is invisible until you color over it.

If it makes you guys feel better, I have been to at least 8 weddings in the past year and have 3 invites sitting in my kitchen and I have never once noticed a number on my response card. I just write our names, check yes and send it off. I wouldn't worry about it.

People have an idea about how many people we're inviting to our wedding. They should be receiving their invitations early enough to realize they are on the A-list, not the B-list. At this point, we've decided against the B-list, I don't think we're going to need it, we're pretty high above our minimum so we should make it!

hmmm,. what is the purpose of numbering them? To see who didn't send a response...wouldn't you just use your master list to see who didn't send back an answer?
