it really does work: my mom lost weight fast on it.
Food gets boring after a while & I bet you could do it yourself if you just do extreme portion control & calorie counting.

I did it and lost 34 lbs, unfortunately the weight came back. Most of the food was really gross. My friend did Jenny Craig and the food is much better.

it was the best 'diet' i've ever done. lost weight and didn't come back that quickly. only came back when i ate like crap. i recommend you eat 5 small meals a day. snacks about 200 calories, the other meals around 250-300 each. i aim for 1200-1400 calories a day. drink tons and tons of water! this is what nutritionists recommend as well. make sure you go out for at least a half hour walk/run. you need to be active!

my friend did it and lost a lot of weight, but then wound up in the hospital with gal stones, which apperently are extremly common with that diet. do a lot of research beofre you start any diet, and maybe even consider talking each type your considering over with your doctor to see which one fits you better. oh my gosh...I haven't been hearing great feed back with this diet. I have tried weight watchers but i figured i won't be able to cheat on this one because the meals are all ready made. WW wasn't that bad but I feel like they didn't have a huge selection...grrr...I have heard that Jenny Craig is really good too...do they ship you food or do you have to go out like WW and buy it at the grocery store?

Re: Nurtisystem Diet????

my cousin just lost over 70 lbs on nutrisystem
i heard that the food is pretty gross and is in really small portions
you have to eat your own fruits and veggies along with it

i have been debating if i should do i but i keep thinking i could just as well do it myself and have food that tastes decent

I know people who have tried it, but if they stopped, they gained back weight. IMO any diet in which you have to eat their pre-packaged food is really only a quick fix (I know there are always exceptions and people who keep it off, but the majority doesn't)--you need to learn how to eat in the real world. I've been doing WW on and off for years and for me, it's the most flexible 'diet' b/c I can eat out or at a party. WW makes it easy with points, but really, it's the age old plan: portion control, calorie counting, and exercise.

I would suggest WW, they teach you portion control, which is what most people need (like me!)

I was never a fan of the pre packaged foods. think about all the chemicals and preservatives that are in there. I did WW and it was great... I truly believe that this is the best way to go, because it teaches you about food, not just getting food delievered... like I didnt know that a plain wheat wrap is like 6 points because there are 400 calories in each wrap!!! you could have 6 pieces of bread!

My friend is on Nutra now and the food just looks all grey... not appatizing at all. and you still have to eat it with fruits and veg, etc.. so if you are going to spend the money it should be on the foods that you love to eat, not things that are all the same color!!
