Re: Nutrisystem

Ill be honest. I did it.....
worked great for the first month. My issue was this. Food was TERRIBLE or typical boxed diet food. After you figure out what you can stand flavor wise, its not too hared to stick to since nothing else is in the house. Unfortunaely, I liked so feew item, i couldnt do it for longer than two months because i was eating the same thing over and over. Other problem was, when i got off it, i gained the weight right back and I didnt go crazy. I really started to eat better.

Hopefully Im an odd case and you have better luck than I did

I've never done it, but I know two people that have, FSIL, and one of my BM's fathers. Both were very successful, while they were doing it.

Once they stopped, and started eating real food again, they gained the weight back. IMO Nutrisystem teaches you nothing about eating properly or portion control. But we all know I'm biased

Re: Nutrisystem

I did it for about 2 1/2 mths almost 2 years ago and lost 17 lbs.

I actually liked a lot of the food...some wasn't great but you got to learn what you did and didn't like....but towards the end i couldnt stomach the food anymore so I went off it. Its also expensive to maintain bc not only are you buying their food, but you still have to buy grocerys like salad, veggies, fruits etc.

the diet def works though if you stick to it...good luck!!

Did you do the regular food or the vegetarian food if you don't mind me asking? I didn't particularly like the food on Jenny either but I like the idea of the prepackaged food. I am no good on counting points! And if it isn't there I will order in. Also I did medifast but the problem was if I veered just a little I gained that week. I hope I like the food!

Re: Nutrisystem

I did a mixed varirty just to keep it different. I have some vegitarion, some diabetic, and some regular food.

Some of it wasnt awful, its just that i had the same 7 meals over and over that it was hard to stay interested.

Also, as mentioned, you do have to buy the fruits veggies and cheeses etc.... VERY expensive to do properly.

Ive found the only thing that works fo rme is meeting a friend at the gym... this way i HAVE to go. also, id joing a WW or jenny or something if i knew someone to go with me. I have ZERO control

Re: Nutrisystem

never tried it but seems like you wouldnt be able to live a normal life just eating nutrisystem meals.. i mean everyone has a party or vacation to go on sometimes! so i would think it would be hard to stick to.

speaking of jenny craig, i am still amazed of those valerie bertenelli commercials, i cant believe how good she looks now!
