nutritionist

FH went to a nutritionist today. FH is into lifting and staying fit, he knows a lot about health and fitness but he went to I guess see what he should be eating and etc..

she told him some intersting things..
like stay away from diet/light etc salad dressings I think she said that full of saturated fats.

she told him a lot of things.. told him what he should eat/not eat....and most are specifically for him, his body.

Anyway, so I think I am going to go to. Hopefully she can tell me what to eat/not eat for my body and help me get started on losing weight.

has anyone else tried seeing a nutritionist ?

Re: nutritionist

thats a good idea...before i started my diet 2 years ago and lost alot of weight, i did alot of research on what foods to eat...There are foods that help burn fat, others that fill you up and will hold you off until your next meal...Also good to know which foods will make you crave more fattening foods, stores fat and all that.

Yeah all those low-fat things are not good for you...even like diet soda, its actually even worse for you. Your body and for generations everyones bodies have been used to breaking down certain things...all these low-fat things are foreign to your body and doesn't know how to break it down

My mom also does this dressing for a salad and its pretty good...You squeeze a lemon in a bowl, add pepper and red onions in there, let it sit for about 30mins to an hour.

Also for alot of foods i will use lemon and pepper, such as steamed vegetables, gives it some taste and its not bad for you.

For chicken and other things, i put lemon, red onions, green peppers and its so good.

And of course always cook with olive oil...and if you do olive oil, garlic, lemon and pepper MMMMMM soooo good.

I knew i couldn't follow a diet where they tell you what to eat for all your meals...so i just thought of food that i like, its healthy and i dont mind eating.
