My niece/God daughter is having her 1st birthday next month. I want to get her something really special. Thought some of you might have some cute ideas for me!

An American girl doll? I dont know if she's too young, but I know with my younger cousins they are VERY popular. You can even get the doll to look like her.

Maybe a toy and then a nice pendant that she can wear as she grows up

ETA bc i thought it was her baptism and not birthday.
anyway, i think a pendant + toy is a good idea. it's something she'll enjoy now and something she'll enjoy later.

You can start a tradition - something like a charm bracelet and every year get her a new charm. Or start a collection of something - for my goddaughter I did Wizard of Oz figurines/music boxes from San Francisco Music Box and got her a new one to add to her collection every year/occasion.
