How exciting! When we bought last may I had a broker too, but a week before closing he upped my locked in rate by 4% so we had to change last minute to wells fargo. They we're tremendous and we closed in 2 weeks with a better rate than original. Let me know if you need any other info I have plenty of expierence!!!!

We worked with Wells Fargo and they were excellent!

Our attorney warned us that sometimes brokers have certain 'relationships' with banks and they will send all their business to those banks.

Definitely do you homework so you can't be taken advantage of by a broker or just deal directly with a bank.

I second Wells Fargo..my closing costs were just over 10,000...The broker I was originally going to use estimated closing costs at 17,000. Just be careful! good luck!
