NWR- advice

a random question, but has anybody been stalked/harassed before? I have been for about a year (it is slowly getting better) by a former coworker of mine from CT, and I'm trying to see what I should do... I tried ignoring for a few times , I tried talking, I don't want to go as far as taking legal advice b/c I think that will only instigate him more - I am going crazy!! FH said he will get involved, but I don't want him too b/c that make him worse... Any advice? For some reason, this has happened to me once before with my ex b/f for many years, and that finally died down after MONTHS of ignoring. I'm too nice to people and I only realize their stalker tendencies until it's too late... but do you think there is anything that I can do?? Any help is appreciated!

I have been through the same thing. It was from my ex boyfriend.....Its a pretty bad situtation when it starts taking over parts of your life like mine did. I never wanted to take legal action either because I am also to nice and I didnt want him to lose his job or something like that. It got to the point where my father had to call him and tell him that if he continued he would take legal action....I mean this went on for almost 3 years.......then finally he called one day and my FH answered the phone and that was it....they had a huge arguement and it all stopped!! I still hear from here about every 3 months or so but its sooooo much better then it was in the past. I can finally leave my house without having to look over my shoulder.

I think you might have to be nasty and stern otherwise for your saftey legal action might just be the only wy.

Thanks for the advice I'm just worried being mean is going to cause it to escalate more, so I'm not sure if I should just be mean or if TOTALLY ignoring is better bc I think the reaction is what gets him too. He lives out of state, which is good, but I still do always worry that he will just show up here... You never know with people like this, how frustrating!
