Re: NWR: Airforce!!!
My FSIL is in the airforce and she LOVES it. Just remember you will be getting transferred every 4 years to different bases/states maybe even countries if he decides to make it a career.

FH is in the air force and has been for the past 3 and a half years, so I will be an AF wife for about a year pretty soon. I lived with him near base in Alaska for the summers, so I know a lot about it. Any specific questions feel free to ask!

try to look at the positives..this is something you FH wanted to do and you'll get to see so many places around the world if he sticks with it since they switch up your location every so often!

I can only imagine how hard that is, but we all face challenges every day. You can walk out of work and get hit by a car just as easily as something happening to him while he's away. The only thing that you should be thinking about is that he will survive all odds. Don't think about the negative, just focus on the positive.

One of my sorority sisters and her husband are both in the airforce and it's very difficult for them. If this is not something that you want your FH to do, shouldn't he take your feelings into account if you will be married?

From being around many different couples in the airforce (of all ages, some one in the military, some both in,some have kids) I can honestly say it's terrible for some and great for others. You can't really base it off one couple.

Re: NWR: Airforce!!!
He shouldn't make a decision like this just for him, he needs to take you into account as well and you should both be making a huge decision like this 100% together. You are going to be moving around, spending time without him when necessary, and he needs to make sure you're onboard before signing anything. It's an admirable profession but your feelings and concerns for your future family need to be taken into consideration by both of you.
ETA: I have two friends in the Air Force who both love it. However, it's not for everyone, you would probably be moving away, is that something you're okay with?
