Well right now the warnign is saying Queens area.. so it is thundering and raining. It been off and on all day. Started today at 9am.. than again at 1, stopped and then started at 2:40.

The warnign was only until 3:30 and it seems to ahve stop.. but for Bronx/Westchester the warning is until 4pm.

If you go to weather.com, plug in your zip code, and then scroll down to the doppler 600 map, you'll see all the t-storms.
They're everywhere! They're little patches but it looks like everyone's going to feel this.
Batten down the hatches!
We have to go food shopping in about an hour. And I don't have a jacket with a hood.

I was soo scared before...I was walking around Bed Bath and Beyond and heard this loud crash...i thought the store was falling down but it was just some thunder

LOL Im am totally the opposite.. actually lightening which can do damage doesnt scare me.
It is thundering and windy, we jsu tcame back from Taco Bell. A tree around the corner from my block was knocked causing traffic because the buses couldnt pass around it.

We just took our time shopping until the worst of it passed over. The good thing about these storms is that they go quick at least.
A few weeks ago we were driving home at night on Ocean Parkway when we drove right into a thunderstorm. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that the lightning bolts were touching ground only a few hundred feet away on either side of the parkway. You know, when it's so close that the BOOM comes before the lightning? I was in all my glory, fascinated. DH, on the other hand, was freaking out.

i just feel so bad for all those people that con ed has screwed-can u imagine-my dh co-worker has had only enough power to keep fridge running and a fan and he has a 2yr old,so whan he took out the candles she asked where is the cake
