NWR Allergy sufferers, anyone else up like me suffering with allergies?
Yup, I'm up at 4:00 a.m. I think I have had maybe 2 hours sleep.. I have tried EVERYTHING, from benedryl to allovert, nothing works.
Anyway, I can't sleep because my eyes itch and my throat and nose itch soo much I figured I would jump on LIW to take my mind off them.
I m actually posting from Richmond VA right now. I'm here until tomorrow. Well... enough of my late night early morning vent.. ciao for now!

i know exactly how you feel! i've been up all night tossing and turning, nothing i take is working and its driving me crazy!!!!!!!

OH my! Yesterday was bad!!! I was at my sis-in-laws and my eyes were itchy and sneezing. Go to the dr and ask for Zyrtec. Its the only thing that works for me. I've tried claritin, allegra, everything. Good luck!

Not me, but FH is a mess with his allergies. I feel so bad for him, I went and bought a bunch of meds for his this weekend to try since he wont go to the DR to get something and now he is just seeing what works best. Im sorry you all are going through this, I see how he feels everyday and I feel so bad

I was an absolute mess on Saturday... we were doing the Revlon Run/Walk in Manhattan for women's cancers. Sneezing my head off. Bought some Claritan and that helped me a bit on Sunday.... hopefully all the pollen will magically disappear!
Hope you feel better!!!! .... AND get some sleep!!

i am actually doing pretty well and i have twerrble allergies - i finally found a good mix
clariton D, flonase and patanol -
patanol is the best allergy eye drops
i have to mix nasal sprays on pills to function - but it works

Yup, my poor DH was up all night with a scratchy throat and was coughing whenever he would inhale, it was terrible
He took everything under the sun and nothing worked. He finally fell asleep at 3:30 am

FH is mess. He has been so sick for the past 2 weeks. He even went to the Specialist to find out about his allergies. He is allergic to all pollen known to human kind.
Meds are barely helping him.

i feel ya! i take claritin which helps my itchy eyes but i've been sneezing and cant breathe out of my nose...very frustrating! i was tossing and turning all night, i think i woke up every hour on the hour. not to mention i'm asthmatic too so waking up in the middle of the night gasping for air and reaching in the dark for my inhaler is always fun! i hate May!!! thats why we picked June to get married, no more allergies!

Yup! I suffer everyday! I actually thought I was getting sick yesterday because my throat was soooo sore. I took Nyquil and it knocked me out and woke up Monday morning with just the usual allergy symptoms

oh yeah, my throat is so scratchy and sneezing like crazy! i forgot to do my allergy shot the past couple weeks! eeek!

ugh, I know how you feel..sort of. I don't usually get the sneezing, sore throat etc., just really really bad sinus headaches. Not fun. FH thought he was just having bad allergies a couple weeks ago..stuffed up, cough...turned out to be bronchitis. Yikes! Hope you get some sleep tonight!!

If this is a consistent problem for you, I would definitely recommend you going to see an Allergist. They will test you for a wide variety of known allergens and give you a course of action, which might include 'build up' shots. I saw one for years when I lived on LI and it really made a considerable difference. Granted I had to get 4 shots in my arms every week to help my body 'learn' how to fight certain things, but it was worth it! I'll give you the name of my old one if you are interested.

My throat was killing me last week and now I just have a bad cough from the congestion... ugh! Allergies are terrible
