NWR: Anxiety!!!!

NWR: Anxiety!!!!

Well, I am an anxious mess!!! Everything with my wedding planning process has finally worked out, (had an issue with RH, but that is resolved) So FH and I started looking to buy a co op , and found the perfect one! We were so excited, and We put in a offer, and the offer was accepted.

Here's the problem...I am in the process of being offered a full time job, and so far.....Stand still, My getting this apartment is contingent on me having this job!!! I spoke with HR, and they said they wanted to move forward in the hiring process and check my references, and that was like 2 weeks ago!!! I should have waited until I had a firm offer to make a bid, but I was so sure I had it! Now, it has been 2 weeks since I made the offer and have not had my paper work done because I am still waiting!!! ARRGGGGHHHH!!! I am working through an agency at present and make excellent money, but This month has been slow! So it looks like I have only been working 16 hrs!!!!

I am such a mess, I feel like everything is slipping through my fingers!!!

Thanks for letting me vent! Say a prayer for me if you will!!!

Oh, I hope it all works out for you!!!!

I wonder what's taking them so long getting your references?? Maybe the people they are trying to contact are on vacation or something like that?

Don't stress.......it will be ok!

Thank you!!!

Well, I forgot to mention that HR was having a hard time reaching my referances, so they call me and said to please call my references and have them call her, Finally on monday, I called to follow up and she said 'I spoke to them all, I am working on a deadline right now, and I will get back to you in the next 2 days' ARRGGGHHHH! I know that my references gave me an excellent reference, my past director loves me! but this waiting is killing me,

If it was meant to be, it was meant to be. I know it sounds cliche, but keep your chin up, and always hope for the best.

Re: NWR: Anxiety!!!!

hey chica!!! I know this is super stressful for you right now, but look on the bright side, the people selling the co-op accepted your offer right away and most likely they won't be anxious to sell to someone else b/c you made an offer they liked. also, considering this is generally a slow time of year for real estate sales, they will probably be more willing to wait for your paperwork to go through. and don't forget the sellers are also looking for a house, so now with your offer they can go shopping for their own house......that will buy you some time.

as you know......this is what i went through last year w/ the crazy kumar (aka tony lol) people when we were selling our house......it was the most stressful time of my life! way more stress than wedding planning! my only advice is try not to think about what's next, just deal with whatever is going on at that moment. Real estate is like a big game sometimes and it really stinks!!! you know i'm here for you!!

Listen girl get on your knees and let God know what you need. Then belive if this is what he has for you and FH then that's what you all will have. Keep the faith, God is an awsome God. Be Blessed.

Re: NWR: Anxiety!!!!

I JUST WENT THROUGH THIS SAME SCENARIO in October....and it was far more stressful than any wedding planning!

It worked for me and it will for you too. Let me tell you that you still have time....did you do the inspection yet? If there are some issues there (there always are) you will be given some extra time b/c they will have fix the problems.

This will definitely work out....the co-op board will not fault you for working for a short time....just give them your working history and tell them the scenario (if you don't already have the offer)

Just keep your cool. things will definitely work out, one way or another .You will likely get the coop and the job.

If for any reason you don't, it is because there was something wrong with the house, like a major termite infestation or horrible rodent problem and some great grandparent is watching over you and pushing you to the next perfect condo.

Keep us informed!
