I had a huge arguement with FH last night and these last two weeks have been utter turmoil at home with my parents, and I've had a total of 6 funerals to go to so I've been sorta down about a lot!
anyway,
I've been feeling ultra tired. To the point where I can't keep my eyes open. I am diabetic but I've been on such a strict diet that I really don't think its that.
Today, Out of nowhere, my face went numb...its been like that all day since around 11am. It feels like that pins and needles feeling. My head is pounding and this last part might be nerves but my whole body is just tingly now. My RIGHT not my LEFT arm is hurting a bit and I feel like I cannot breathe. I don't want to go to the ER cuz honestly i can't spend a day there. i have too much to take care of and I can't go to the dr at the moment because i can't afford it unless of course its something i should be worried about then i might just have to. I just want to know if this can be anxiety? I've had panic attacks in the past and they've stopped for about 2 years now but I don't know whatthis all means.
anyway, sorry to burden you guys with this. I've just been feeling down! =(

Re: NWR: any medical students/nurses/drs out there?
I am not a doctor or a nurse, but those are very scary symptoms you are experiencing, you should go to the doctor or ER just to be on the safe side. I hope you feel better.

please get that checked asap! I'm not in med school or anything but numbness/trouble breathing are serious symptoms!

I'm a licensed clinical social worker and even though stress is a possible cause I would reccomend going to the ER now! Those are symptoms you just can't ignore. Please go get some medical attention!

im a physician assistant...it sounds like it could be anxiety related
but i would not ignore the symptoms, there are other things that could be going on...if you dont want to sit in an ER, go to an urgent care center at least. Your health comes first, forget about whatever else is going on in your life...you have to take care of YOU!

So I'm a research Dr and not a physician Dr BUT, I can tell you that FH had some of those symptoms and he was having a transient ischemic attack (TIA) which is like a mini stroke. I don't want to scare you, but it could be serious. Although if its lasting all day, I wouldn't think its a TIA. But you should definitely go see someone

I am diabetic too- I have had that happen quite a bit last Spring during thesis. I was told by the neurologist that since diabetics can be in good control and still have random high sugars (higher than the normal population), that stress or anxiety can manifest itself in your nerves. I was having chest pain and my arm was literally falling asleep at night and I would wake up in so much pain- but there was nothing wrong with me!
Then it just stopped.
I hope you have it checked out, though. Feel better

I could be a variety of things. You really need to have it checked out. RN here, but even if I wasn't I would still tell you to have it checked out by an MD!
