me me me!

and there is a 10 bride who is one also, there is an 11 bride who is going to PA school or applying something like that!

what do you want to know??!!

I love being a PA! it is very rewarding job, financially and personally. You get to help people and pretty much get to do everything a doctor does without the headache of med school! You make great money and it has been listed as a top career by US News for the past 5 years.

FM me if you want to chat!!!

Im one of the 2011 brides applying for PA school. The schools themselves are highly competitive, but its worth it in the end! PAs get the best of both worlds, by getting to practice medicine without the headache of running a practice (like physicians who are also business owners- its get crazy). I have worked with almost every medical professional, and I stick by PA being the best choice. Have you looked into some of the programs? Theres a few that have spring deadlines (Feb and March), or were you planning on applying for fall 2012?

Thanks so much for the replies!!! I'm thinking of applying for Fall 2011...any program recommendations? The thing is, I don't have many science prerequistes completed though I do have a Bachelor's so i'm going to have to backtrack a bit before I can actually start the PA courses.

how long are these programs?? Do you have to have a science background to get into them?

Re: NWR: Any Physician Assistants?

it depends on the program
if you are entering a masters level program then yes you need a heavy science background and you start the 'PA School'

if you enter a bachelors program then you can take the courses that way.

im pretty sure most PA programs are all converting to the masters entry program which is a 2 year program
