OMG I know someone who this actually happened to otherwise I would NEVER believe it.. She was a heavier girl and one say she got stomach cramps real bad, went to the hospital and couple hours later had a baby girl... It was such a shock her family had to run out and buy her baby stuff so she had something to take the baby home in.. I think I would just give up on life if that happened to me

Well... to a point. My mother gave birth to my younger brother in our bathroom at AM on a Saturday morning in August. She knew she was prego but had no idea how far along she was. None of my family (aside from my father) knew. In fact, many of my family members didn't believe me! My Aunt told me I had the wrong number when I called and told her my mom just had a baby.

i can believe that there are certain cases where for medical reasons you might not know for a while... but to go an entire 9 months i find extremely hard to believe

I think with these girls a lot of it is a psychological condition...I had a friend who 'didn't know' even though everyone else kept saying 'maybe your pregnant'. She just couldn't/didn't want to accept it.
But I do agree that some of it is so phony...

I think if you normally miss your periods that it can happen. I know I miss and skip for months at a time.

I do not get this show at all. How do these girls not feel the baby moving?

Yupp. I was 8!
I walked out of my bedroom and see my mom carrying this bloody baby! At first I thought something happened to my little sister (who was a little over a year old at the time).
Then my dad came running up the stairs and called 911.

Re: NWR: Anyone else not buying
Some of these girls I feel do not want to face reality, like maybe it will go away. Its scary if ur not ready, esp if ur young. I always council my pts about contraception and pregnancy.
But anyway, if your someone who doesn't get periods regularly (eg. PCOS, peri-menopausal) and is heavy to begin with, doesn't show much, thinks baby moving=gas. I will believe it. It sounds crazy to those of us who are tuned in/understand what goes on w our bodies. But some women just don't get it.. in fact, those are my fave patients
ETA: 1- I loooove that show! 2- jill that's an AWESOME story!
