I was in a nasty accident today, the girl was speeding and my entire back side of my car, is half way into the car. Does any one know is that is fixable? OR did you get collision for the car? And if you did how much do you get? Kelly blue book value???

I'm not sure how the insurance will work out or the repairs for this specific case but I am so glad you weren't badly hurt!! The damage sounds like you got hit pretty hard - did you get checked out at the hospital? I was in a pretty bad one about 8 years ago that really messed up my car but thank God didn't really hurt me, just scared me half to death!
I hope everything works out OK and you don't have any injuries

if it's totaled they will pay whatever value the condition of your car was in prior to the accident. glad you are okay!

Report the accident with your insurance company, and hopefully you found out who her insurance company is. That way it should be a smooth transaction. I don't know the particulars, but she hit you, so they should decide that it was her fault and her insurance company should pay for the damages. Sorry that happened to you, but I am glad that you are ok.

Were you rearended? My dad is actually a PI attorney and I've worked for him forever. In NY State, if you get rearended, the driver who hits you from behind is automatically 100% at fault unless there are extreme extenuating circumstances giving that driver a 'non-negligent excuse.' You stopping short, it raining out, etc. are NOT non-neligent excuses. So, in the worst case scenario that your insurance won't cover it, the offending driver's insurance will have to cover it even if you have to sue them to make that happen.

OH Kirs! I'm so glad you are doing ok. Usually the insurance company will cover up to the worth of the car. If your car is worth 5K but the damage estimate is 7K they will give you the 5K towards a new car. At least that is what happened to my friend.

Yes i was in the ER for 8 hours. They wanted me to go in a bed pan so they can test me for pregnancy before an x ray and i was so shy. So it took me longer then most. But Im really really hurting today and Im taking off two weeks from work. I cant even move my neck. I am very very lucky to be alive. She was definatly speeding. So i dont k now if shes automatically at fault for that, or if they can even tell from the damage alone that she was speeding. It was a 40 MPH zone, she was at least going 55-60. The damage that was done to my car is insane..and yeah...it scared me half to death, I don teven want to get in a rental car right now. Im tramatized

Since you were hit from behind, the person who hit you will be at fault and her insurance will take care of repairing your car. As long as a police report was filed and you contact her insurance company you will be fine!
