i suposed to be really good. but you ahve to use it consisntaly and rub it in for a few minutes.

Ive been meaning to get it because i have a scar in the corner above my lip from a car accident.. and i d like it to go away, but not sure if it will because the skin is a bit pulled. people say they dont see it.. but i do!!

I would def try it. it cant hurt, better than not!

it does work but in my opinion....vitamin E tabs work better. You can buy them at any drug store and they r little tabs that u break open and put the gell directly on your scar

i tried maderma but it's annoying because you have to put it on frequently and rub it in for a while... and it's soo expensive for a little tube.

I've heard that too about the vit e... never tried it though... but they put vit e in so many moisturizers, skin products that it doesn't hurt to try it.

sorry you burnt yourself

i had surgery and my surgeon gave me free samples of mederma to use 2 weeks after the surgery. It helped, but I asked my plastic surgeon and he told me that it doesn't really matter what you rub in, it is the rubbing that breaks up the scar tissue. He said cocoa butter and vit e were just as good. His recommendation for super duper scar healing ability was the silicone patches. They're like 80 for 2, so I said forget it, but he swears by them!! I think they're more for chest scars like mine tho! HTH

i had surgery two years ago and it does help, but mederma is expensive and vitamin E caps have just about the same effect..

When I had surgery on my knee my Dr told me to use vitamin E, also something interesting he told me was to avoid direct sunlight (for prolonged periods) if you've ever seen a scar that is darker than the skin, the sun does this, it can turn you scar a purple color if it is exposed with in a year!! According to my Dr... After my knee surgery I wore pants for 2 years!!!!! And didn't lay in the sun till last year or so (its been 7 years) but I would rather be pale than purple

Ok- so i am a total clutz- i dropped a hot curling iron on my back- HUGE scar- put maderma on it 2-3 times a day for 2 weeks and you can barely see it now.

Good luck

AWWW SO sorry that happened to you hope this stuff works

also milk is great for burns so when your skin is burning and also to take away from the redness, it will give you alot of relief, thats when you dont have the cream on.

I had a HORRIBLE sun burn to the point where i couldnt even walk for a week and forget even walking i couldn't even sit up bc of how bad it hurt...the only time i was even able to get up to take a shower at least and walk around for a bit was after i would put cotton pads soaked with milk on my legs.

I wonder if maderma would work on my scars on my face from when I popped my pimples

proactiv has something for that to get rid of scars left after blemishes...they have a bunch of other things other than the cleansers, they even sell make up that is good for people who do break out and sun tan lotion and tons of things

I havent broken out in a while, thank god, and thanks to Listerine, lolol. I just have a couple of red scars by the bottom of my chin, nothing too bad and they dont show when I cover them with foundation, my derm told me they will eventually go away, hopefully. I have also been using spf 15 on my face everyday and a good cleanser bec I never cared about my face before now its no joke, I dont even pop anything on my face.
