I have a pure breed french bull dog, shes just over a year now, shes perfectly healthy..shes in the vet every two weeks or so..the reason being is that she throws up all the time! does this happen with your dog to? they keep saying shes normal, top shape..so why does she keep vomiting?

I don't have a bull dog, but I have a shih tzu and a basset. My shih tzu is funny with food, and some kinds of food (and treats) just make him puke. You might want to try changing your dog's food. If you do decide to try, do the switch slowly (or it might just cause more puking), gradually adding more of the new food and less of the old. The guideline is a week total, but with my shih tzu, it took a few weeks. I had to do it really slowly. He eats Wellness fish and potato now, and he's doing great!

I have heard the same things about dogs not agreeing with their food... our dog (golden) gets fed Nutro, she used to take something else... she had bad dandruff and didnt eat her other food. Nutro has this ingredient that is great for their coats, we used to give her lipiderm for it... but it is easier to give her food... but definitly change the food over slowly

I had 2 english bulldogs... this breed has a ton of allergies! they used to throw up from eating the grass and stuff outside.
I grew up with an english bulldog and he too seemed prone to vomit. If he was over active (running around a lot) he would puke. They are very sensitive dogs.
I agree with attempting to change the food slowly.
If you still aren't comfortable with the situation, maybe visit/call another vet.

I have 2 French Bulldogs and they both eat things that they should not and will throw up from it Also one of them has bad allergies and the food can bother her they have sensitive stomachs I feed them Wellness Fish & Sweetpotatoes gotta love the frenchies!!! Good Luck

I have a cocker spaniel and I fed him Wellness puppy mix 5 from day one and it was great for him. But Wellness just sold out and went cheap and changed a lot of stuff around that was not agreeing with my dog. I just switched him to Innova. I also give him a teaspoon of pumpkin with each meal, and he is doing great on it, and from what I see, he has never felt better.

I don't have a french bulldog but I do have a pug. He also vomits often and is perfectly normal however the vet said it's from him licking everything off the floor such as dust and dirt...that could be what is causing your dog to vomit all the time.

Oh as a side note, putting tomato juice in your dogs food will keep him/her from burning the grass! I think about a couple of tbl spoons... My dog LOVES eating tomatoes.. other stuff makes her puke (grass etc...)
