NWR: Anyone have issues wearing contacts?

NWR: Anyone have issues wearing contacts?

I wear a different prescription in each eye. I wear acuvue 2. I noticed 2 years ago when i was nearing the end of my contacts (had purchased 6 boxes for each eye) that I had close to 2 boxes of contacts left over from my right eye and not even one contact left over for my left eye. I called the 1800 contacts and I said they must have been defective because i have so many of the right eye left over and none of the other. the left eye would bother my eye a lot more, i would have to change that eye a lot more or they were always ripping. So they sent me another couple boxes.

went back to the dr. got my perscription again for this past year ordered my contacts again (same perscription) But now im noticing that this has happened again. I have over a box and a half left over for my right eye and NONE for my left eye. It seems that the contacts irritate my left eye a lot more and im constatly changing it, rubbing it and therefore they are ripping.

Has this happened to anyone else? Im wondering if i should try a different brand (but its only my 1 eye i have this issue with) or if maybe i just cant wear contacts in that eye. Im so annoyed. Im due to go back to the eye dr. this month and im going to ask him but thought i would ask you ladies to see if anyone has a similar issue.

I have two different prescriptions also. I suffer from allergies so my eyes are always itching. I went to a new eye doctor and then switched me from acuvue 2 to acuvue oasis. It give me more moisture in my eyes and they itch alot less often.

Then haven't ripped yet and I've been using then since August. I know the Acuvue 2 rips easiy and it was my left eye also. Weird...maybe they aren't made correctly. Try the acuvue oasis. Big difference.

wow thanks! i feel better knowing its not just me hahaha... I do suffer from allergies (they are mild though) so maye that is affecting them as well, yet my right eye doesnt seem affected by it . i was thinking of asking him to switch me to the oasis. Ive heard that they seem to be better. Im glad they have helped you - i think im going to try them the next time i order!

I was also thinking that maybe the size of the lenses were wrong for my left eye.

Does your lefty eye feel really dry or like you have something in it??? I had to switch my contacts from Acuvue 2 because my eyes always felt dry. I switched to the Clear Comfort lenses and I switched my solution. Optifree is the least harsh and my favorite one is Optifree REPLENISH. I cant use anything else or my eyes feel super dry. try switching things up! I know how annoying that can be!

I wear two different types of Acuvue lenses. The one for my right eye is more expensive... I had trouble seeing out of my right eye...
