I am starting to go for house hunting. I am wondering how many ladies are planning a wedding and looking for houses?

Me me I am!!! Planning a wedding , house hunting(now house buying!), working full time with a 2 hour commute, and going to grad school!!! I feel your pain! But thankfully fh and I just went to contract on a great house and will be closing in Feb or March! Although, I hear that once you sign there is even more work like the whole getting the money thing haha. House hunting and negotiating was so much work!!! But it was worth it because now we are super excited! Good luck!! Where are you looking?

Yup! Us too! We are getting married in March. We just started looking end of October and we just signed a contract last night. Hopefully we will close end of January, 2 months before the wedding.
We were in a very limited price range and there really was only 1 or 2 communities we were looking in ....so thankfully, it has come together pretty well!

I bought a co-op last year - best financial decision I ever made. The money going into equity and the tax benefits. Good luck!

We are under contract right now for our First house too..it's definitely a lot though...planning a wedding, buying a house, working, ect.. but its fun too and we gotta enjoy it!

We bought a house about seven months ago, so I was planning and moving. It wasn't bad since I was still just under the year mark when we moved.

We are looking for a house also. We just sold our Co-op and we are ready to take advantage of the buyers market and upgrade....It is making everything more stressful!

Going to start AFTER the wedding. a) too chaotic with wedding. b) money..we are paying for wedding ourselves so we need to save for place.
YES, gasp, we won't be living together right after wedding! Just don't have the funds right now...BUT I am glad..I will have nothing to plan so this will be my next venture!

We are too! Started looking in August and getting married in May. I will start to get nervous if we can't find anything by March...My weekends consist of Sat = wedding stuff, Sun = house stuff. Ugh.

Just closed on our condo last week.... I am in love... wedding stuff has definitely gotten pushed to the side... I need to go full steam ahead now!!!

We are! We were planning on getting married Fall 2011, but our living situation has now thrown that outta whack. Sooo we will be looking right after the holidays and hope to find something quick so we can get back into the wedding planning. Which has now totally changed! We went from Def. doing the Riviera in Massapequa to now deciding on doing the reception at our new house! lol I guess it doesn't matter - whatever we decide will be great :) We're getting married

i am Right now we are renting the upstairs apartment from my grandmother but she told us that she plans on selling however shes waiting till we get married in august to put it up. Ive seen real estate info come in the mail and am freaking out bc we cant afford anything right now and its not easy to rent with our dog

We are! and trying to sell/rent our co-op at the same time and pay for the wedding! Its insane. Sometimes I loose it But I remind myself what is at the end of the tunnel =
Where are you all looking? We are thinking Valley Stream and thought and opinion on this area? FH and I are both from Queens and have no clue, thanks! FM me!!!!!!!!
