NWR: anyone know how to toast walnuts???

Hey ladies....i'm Making a chicken, raspberry and walnut salad for FH for dinner tonight but i am not sure how exactly to toast walnuts...anyone know how????? LoL

I think you just put them in the oven on a baking sheet for about 10 minutes. But WATCH them carefully so that they don't burn. I've never toasted walnuts, but I have toasted almonds and pecans this way.

Thank you....but toast them whole right? and then take the nuts out of the shell?

No, you have to take them outta the shell first. I'm almost positive bout it.

take them out of the shell and toast them in a dry frying pan over medium heat. just watch them and keep moving them around. once they are brown take them right out of the pan and put them in a bowl.

Great i was thinking of putting in in a frying pan instead of the oven this way i could watch them better. don't add anything right?
