We are looking at an apartment in Islip. Is it a nice area. I am used to the North Shore, so I really don't know much about the area. Any info would be greatly appreciated! TIA!

I grew up in Great River (East Islip school district). What part of Islip is the apartment in? (You can FM that info if you want). Islip has good and bad parts...like most towns!

most south shore towns have good areas (usually near or south of montauk highway). As in most towns there are good areas and bad areas.
